How I See the US After 15 Years Living Abroad
A few months ago I ended my 15 year journey as an expat and relocated back to the United States. It’s been an interesting journey these past few months as I have settled back down in my birth country. For me, the feeling is very surreal and filled with mixed emotions.
On one hand, I always loved my life abroad and enjoyed being a representative of the United States in the international community. On the other hand, my parents are getting older and I felt it was time to come home to spend more time with them and let them spend as much time as possible with their grandchildren.
Today’s video is Part 1 of a two part series on my relocation back to the United States. Today I want to focus on some of the negatives I see in America and how my time abroad has taught me to look at America from a different perspective.
The vast majority of my fellow Americans do not own a passport and as a result have never left the borders of the US. This is a huge disadvantage. Americans don’t realize what our media, politicians, drug companies, and healthcare companies are doing in our society today. There are a tremendous amount of positives in America (I will cover those in Part 2 of this series) but let’s first start by discussing these hot topics items first. Let me know what you think after watching!
