I Visited a Chinese Factory...I Can't Believe What I Saw
Last month I returned to China for the first time in nearly 4 years. It was an eye-opening experience to be back on the ground in China and witness first-hand exactly what China is REALLY like in 2023.
During my visit, I traveled to Wuxi to tour a textile factory and go behind the scenes to see what really goes into manufacturing the clothes we wear. I visited a Chinese factory called “Kalito” which is quite interesting as it’s is co-owned by a Norwegian named Tommy.
Tommy is in the “bridge building” business as he works with over 25 different Western clothing brands to help them manufacture their products directly in China. From North America to Brazil and all throughout Scandinavia and Europe, Western clothing brands are still turning to China for manufacturing for two main reasons:
The Supply Chain - From sourcing materials to shipping logistics, China has built one of the world’s most extensive manufacturing networks in the world. No other country on the planet can manufacture like China
Quality to Price Ratio - Yes it’s true companies are now opening factories in Vietnam, Mexico, and other countries, but when it comes to the quality of production to the price paid, China remains the best option for many companies.
I’ve made hundreds of videos about China the past 3 years on YouTube, but I can honestly say this is one of my favorite videos of all time. Please enjoy this presentation as I bring you behind the scenes and showcase to you what Chinese Manufacturing looks like in 2023.
PS. Watch to the end of the video for a special surprise bonus content
