Will the US Ban TikTok in 2023? No! The Truth is the US is trying to buy it!
Welcome to the first edition of the 2023 newsletter! We are going to kick the new year off with a topic that will be very popular in the coming months, and that is the potential ban of world’s most popular social media app….TikTok
TikTok has taken the world by storm the past few years and quite honestly it has completely changed the way social media works. TikTok users spend nearly 3 times the amount of time using the app compared to Instagram, and short form video content is now more popular than ever.
However US politicians and Western media are deceiving the American public and lying to you about this social media app. TikTok’s parent company is Bytedance, a tech company founded in Beijing. Since it’s from Mainland China, US politicians want the American public to believe China’s government is using the app to spy on American citizens.
But when you start to do some research about Bytedance, you start to uncover some very interesting facts:
60% of Bytedance is owned by foreign institutional investment funds
Several American citizens serve on as Board of Directors for Bytedance
Bytedance is a privately held company (it is not owned by China’s government)
TikTok stores all US user data in servers in US and Singapore
China’s government has never asked for US user data information
China’s government has zero ability to modify or censor content on TikTok
In doing my research for this week’s newsletter and YouTube video I discovered the real reason US politicians want to ban TikTok. The cold hard truth is that America can’t stand the fact a 39 year Chinese entrepreneur built a better and more powerful social media app. TikTok is connecting better with the American public than both Facebook and Instagram, and American wants to get rid of it’s biggest competitor.
Watch this week’s YouTube video and I’ll reveal to everyone the truth about TikTok and ultimately what American politicians really want to do with TikTok. Instead of banning TikTok, politicians are actually trying to buy the social media app and make it American!
I thought the United States is a free market economy that invites free and fair competition? Of course it is, unless your company is from China…watch this week’s video and let me know what you think!
