Earlier this week I shared an important thread on Twitter on an amazing battle between the US and China in space: For 70 years the US has dominated outer space but in a few short years the torch will be passed to China, as the Middle Kingdom will become the only nation in the world to have it’s own space station.
Cyrus, the Space exploration efforts of the United States has diversified to include private enterprise - which has proven highly successful. Putting together a tinker toy in lower space is an accomplishment, but to declare it some sort of “win” reflects a serious bias or lack of understanding on your part.
I do think it will be a win for China in the sense that they are the only country in the world that will have it's own private space station. Don't get me wrong, the US is incredible in space, I just think it would have been better to partner with China and work together. That's the main message from this video. Thanks for the comment!

I've been impressed with their efforts in space, it's honestly quite remarkable
Cooperation is clearly better than confrontation. America's confrontational policy may stem from hegemonic thinking.
